Donnerstag.ai:
AI-powered invoice matching
for small businesses
We set out to solve a real pain: In Germany, small businesses struggle to track work and reconcile it with self-billed invoices (Gutschriften). I worked closely with the product team to understand these workflows and designed a system that uses AI to match jobs with incoming invoices — automatically and accurately.

UX Research & Problem Discovery
Our research focused on how confusing and time-consuming invoice matching is for small teams—especially when work records and payments come from different systems. We interviewed German logistics companies and B2B service providers to map the real gaps in their process.
From mockups to the final product
We used Lovable for the early concept mockups and testing flows. Once we shaped the structure and navigation, I moved the design into Figma to build the full UI and create a visual identity that feels trustworthy, clear, and confident.
Designing around AI
One of the biggest challenges was building trust around the AI logic. I worked on flows that clearly show how matches are made, which jobs are unpaid, and where action is needed—without overwhelming the user.
Early-stage Website
I also designed the product’s early-stage website—from content structure to copy and layout—using Wix. The goal was to explain a complex financial tool in a clear, trustworthy way while keeping the experience simple and informative.
