Yolda Carrier Application

As a product designer, I embarked on an exciting journey to design Yolda, a carrier application aimed at connecting individual truck drivers and transportation companies with shipment opportunities. The goal was to create a seamless experience for carriers, enabling them to sign up, find shipments, share their location, apply for job orders, all within one application.

Our carrier users were divided into two important types: individual truck drivers and large transportation companies. Due to this distinction, we needed to design both a mobile application and a web application to address their specific needs.

We designed and prototyped both versions of the application, ensuring that each met the specific needs of its user group. The mobile application for individual drivers was designed for simplicity and ease of use, with features that could be quickly accessed on the go. The web application for transportation companies was designed with a focus on strong management tools and security features.

We also prepared a guide for web/desktop users to help them understand the benefits of the carrier web application product and how to use it. You can access the guide from the link below.

Onboarding and Preferences
As part of the onboarding process, we created a start page tailored to drivers' preferences and situations. For example, when drivers enable their location services, they see job offers relevant to their current location on their start page. If location services are not enabled, they receive a location notification prompting them to turn it on.

Favorite Routes
We also included a feature for drivers to add their favorite routes. When drivers add their preferred routes, the application displays job offers specifically for those routes. If drivers have not added any favorite routes, the system prompts them to do so, ensuring they can quickly access the most relevant job offers.

Semi-Personalized product
As a result, we achieved a semi-personalized design for the Yolda carrier application's initial version. By designing features that adapt to the preferences and situations of our primary personas, we ensured a more tailored and efficient user experience. This approach allowed us to effectively meet the distinct needs of individual truck drivers and logistics managers.
